so blessed on my birthday.
So I honestly have the best friends that a girl could ask for… My amazing boyfriend planned a surprise 23rd birthday for me on July 21 and I had absolutely no idea.
It all happened at Bailey’s in Troy. We were supposed to have a casual nothing big dinner with our friends Kelly Lavaute and Chris Kaufman at Mitchell’s in Birmingham because I was craving seafood! I was utterly shocked when came over to pick me up for dinner, gave me a beautiful Tiffany’s necklace and then told me that I had to be blind folded for dinner. We then got in the car and drove for 45 minutes while he was telling me that he just had to show me something before we met them for dinner. The best part of the whole surprise was he needed to stall so he decided that the best way was to stop at Taco Bell drive through with me blind folded because he was thirsty!!!! As we arrived at the what I thought was Mitchell’s I was shaking and so unsure of what was going on. As he undid the blind fold the first thing that I saw was Kelly Lavaute’s shoes and then I looked up and saw my best friend for 10 years and sissy Ashley Hoover from Seattle! I busted into tears because one year ago she left for a job interview in Seattle and promised that she was going to come home, but never did. This was unreal.
He not only got all my best MI friends there and Ashley, but he got Kylie King from Grand Rapids & Karen Wassel from OK to drive hundreds of miles to be there with me!!! I was utterly shocked and have never felt so lucky in my life to have friends like this. OH and the best part, everything at my party was pink and sparkly, my dream birthday party! It was a DIVA theme and they got for me to wear a birthday diva sash, boa, crown, wand and everything that I ever imagined!
